NCME and AMS Now One Organization

In June 2006, after months of strategic planning, the National Center for Montessori Education integrated with the American Montessori Society to create a single, unified organization based at AMS headquarters in New York City.

In making the landmark decision – one which both organizations believe will benefit Montessori education for years to come – the long-term advantages for all members of the “NCME family” were paramount.
